walking

My husband was off today so we took the boys to the Audubon Society and walked through the woods. It was a bit chilly but was nice to spend time in nature.  So we walked for 40 minutes and a couple times I got my heartrate up. Does everyone count outdoor walks as their workouts?  I don’t have the time to get on the treadmill even though it was a gentle walk we did it.

Baseball tonight (what’s new) so I need to make a quick meal. My hubby wants buiscuits, veggie sausage and eggs. Oh I don’t know if anyone has tried vegetarian meat replacments but they save a ton of calories. One Morningstar patty is only 70 calories. The other thing I keep forgetting to share is does everyone know about hungrygirl.com? she has all these cool ideas for low cal/fat meals and even a daily e-mail. I love it. Every little bit helps she also shares a lot about fast food calories and best choices.

Have a wonderful day buddies

I definitely count walks as workouts!  :)  I did a nice little walk last night for about 40 minutes myself!  I also lift weights and run, but I always count walks as workouts too.  And walking is SO good for you!  Keep it up!
